Countdown to launch of new apartments at Wem Mill

The wait is nearly over for the highly anticipated launch of Wem Mill, a brand new collection of 36 one and two bedroom apartments in Wem, set in the historical building. Up until the 1980s the building was an active Corn Mill, but since then it has remained empty - that is until now. Guild Homes has restored the relic to its former glory, which now features stunning apartments that have been sympathetically designed and are set to go to market in early September. The properties here combine the perfect blend of old and new. The converted Mill offers character and a touch of history, while inside, the apartments provide contemporary living at its best with their high specification finishes and modern features. As well as the stunning conversion, Guild has also created two additional sets of new build apartment blocks providing a further 21 apartments to the MiIl’s 15. Jeff Guest, managing director of Guild Homes, said: “We are excited about the imminent launch of Wem Mill. It is such an important part of the town’s history and with this is mind we feel we have created a wonderful and unique offering of new homes in Wem, not available any where else in the area and I suspect house hunters won’t be disappointed!” Prices at Wem Mill will range from £89,950 to £139,950. However, if you are looking to rent a home rather than buy, then Guild can help you here too, as a proportion of the apartments have been set aside as rental properties. Each apartment features either an open plan or a separate kitchen and living room, a family bathroom and one or two bedrooms. Completed in a neutral scheme, the new owners will be able to put their own stamp on it from the get go. Residents here will also benefit from a car parking space and various communal garden areas to wile away the hours in. The development is located in the delightful market town of Wem, to the north of Shrewsbury and is surrounded by miles of beautiful open countryside. The Mill itself is within minutes’ walk of the high street, where there are a plethora of amenities typical to a quaint market town such as this, including a range of independent stores, restaurants and pubs, as well as a good range of local schools. Commuting to and from the development is easy, as there are a number of ‘A’ roads leading to nearby towns, including Shrewsbury, Telford and further afield. Make sure you don’t miss out on your chance to live in this amazing piece of history, register your interest in these new homes in Wem early by calling 0800 032 2823.
